David Simpson from the Brixton gay community was fined £10 at Camberwell magistrate’s court for shouting “Stuff the jubilee. You can stick it up your arse!” as he pedalled his bike down Acre Lane, Brixton. At the time police constable McCabe was laying cones early in the morning prior to the Queen’s visit. He was not pleased by the sentiments expressed.
